Provides subject matter expertise in the development and implementation of key processes related to investor relations communications for alternative investment products at BMO GAM.

Works across BMO to deliver specific business results in alignment with overall group goals.

Core accountabilities:
  • Develop and maintain investor materials such as investor presentations, fact sheets, due diligence materials and internal communications.
  • Key point of contact for Alternative Distribution team in responding to wholesaler, investment advisor/counsellor, or end-client queries.
  • Respond to client queries related to published content and coordinate internally to provide high-quality, timely responses.
  • Produce compelling, investor-friendly thought leadership aimed at enhancing BMO GAM's current alternative investments platform, from both a product and implementation standpoint.
  • Conduct ad hoc research in support of building Alternatives platform and processes.
  • Provide continuous support, knowledge, and training to the Sales Team regarding product structures and investment solutions.
  • Conducts analysis required to inform strategic recommendations and considers the "big picture" when assessing whether a course of action is advisable in terms of the group and enterprise goals.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborates with internal & external stakeholders to provide business context in the design, develop and implementation of programs & solutions.
  • Keeps stakeholders informed of messages, recommendations, decisions, process and progress.
  • Leads implementation of investment communication priorities across BMO GAM by partnering with various internal & external stakeholders as required; complexity of initiatives may vary and usually involve multiple stakeholders and industry partnerships.

Qualifications:
  • Typically, between 5-7 years of experience and post-secondary degree.
  • Ideally +3 years of directly relevant experience in Asset Management , Investor Relations, Communications, or Investment Product Management roles.
  • Must be intellectually curious, particularly about asset management and alternative investments.
  • In depth verbal & written communication skills.
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth data driven decision-making.
Salary :

$74,800.00 - $138,600.00

Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
