Business Context
Within TBSM Technology, the Treasury Analytics Group (TAG) is dedicated to support Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department in measuring and managing market risk (interest rate, equity, and foreign exchange) for the Bank's retail portfolios, both in Canada and US. This group creates models, financial systems, applications, and processes required to support various functional teams in TBSM
At TD, we design and implement robust infrastructures and reporting platforms to provide bank management and board of directors, shareholders, market participants, and supervisors with forward-looking information to help identify downward risks and the potential impacts of an adverse economic environment on operations.

At TD, we design and implement robust infrastructures and reporting platforms to provide bank management and board of directors, shareholders, market participants, and supervisors with forward-looking information to help identify downward risks and the potential impacts of an adverse economic environment on operations.
Here's some of what you may be asked to perform,
- Work with technology partners (e.g. Developers, Solution Designers, and Architects) to research and analyze current state system capabilities and define technology solutions options and recommendations.
- Define, document and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, considering non-functional requirements.
- Assist testing teams in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, user acceptance, and operational acceptance testing.
- Assist in the execution of operational workflows, use cases and test cases and assist in triage of issues and defects.
- Participate in quality management reviews, including designs, prototypes and other requirements work products.
- Research and investigates defects / issues related to requirement / specifications.
- Contribute to management activities such as identifying risks and recommending mitigation measures, communicating activity status, as well as escalating and communicating possible issues.
- Work closely with Technology and Business stakeholders to determine solutions, assess impact to existing work processes and systems, and pinpoint how to manage integration.
- Provide operational and process-related analysis and support.
- Respect existing processes and standards including requirements management and project management disciplines, technology delivery and business technology architecture, escalating issues as needed.
- Gain knowledge in own area, stay abreast of technology trends and developments, develop expertise in TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques, business domains and their products and services.
- Close collaboration with business and other members in TBSM Technology to ensure that the requirements are implemented according to Bank's SDLC development standard.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in major financial institutions with sound understanding of retail banking products, risk management practices and fixed income securities.
- Hands on SQL, writing SQL queries and procedures,
- Knowledge of using Advanced excel to create reports.
- Knowledge of checking and understanding operational logs
- Solid understanding of Testing methodologies (Test lifecycle, bug lifecycle, Functional, Regression and Business Acceptance testing)
- SDLC / Agile methodology experience.
- Jira workflow and Confluence usage
- Understanding of release flow and experience working in different environments needed before production.
- Hands on Unix and Python experience is preferred.
- Commitment to applying advanced to expert knowledge of business technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise, including design, development, testing and project management.
- Advanced to expert knowledge of system analysis process and techniques, as well as system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows and business rules.
- Commitment to and belief in the quality of your deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and multitask as needed based on priorities.
- Strength in developing effective relationships with different business units, portfolio and project managers.
- Ability to present and make recommendations to senior management and executives.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to foster a culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork and a high level of professionalism.
- Superior communication and presentation skills to peers, business partners and senior executives.
- Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant, as well as contributor to potential project assessments.
