Within TD Technology, the TBSM Treasury Technology (TTT) is dedicated to support the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department creating models, financial systems, applications and processes required to support various functional teams in TBSM including Liquidity Risk Management ( both Retail and Wholesale ), Non-Trading Market Risk and Cash Management.

As regulators and the industry significantly ratchet up the focus on Liquidity, this opportunity provides the one with the ability to be in at the ground level and to help lead the TD Wholesale Liquidity program forward. About This Role

TBSM Technology Team (TTT) is looking for a Solutions Design IT Specialist to join the Retail Liquidity development team. We are looking for someone to embrace a broad range of tasks associated with developing application and systems solutions to address business challenges.

As a senior design IT specialist you will be expected evolve the platform using latest technologies, possessing experience with SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, C#, .NET. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive technical designs, lead decisions on strategic technologies, oversee software development, an eagerness to be hands on, oversee product releases and all other engineering tasks.

The ideal candidate would have regulatory liquidity reporting/risk management knowledge and be able to work in close partnership with ambitious business and technology partners, project teams and stakeholders within an agile development process.

Sitting in this position will help expand your knowledge, strengthen your expertise and introduce you to the inner workings of Wholesale Liquidity alongside a team of seasoned, diversely-skilled technology and finance professionals. Our team is made up of dynamic and strong technical engineers, QA's members, and BSA's who build and maintain critical technology platforms in an Agile environment. You'll be exposed to stretch assignments as you take on large-scale, complex and/or enterprise-wide projects.

Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

• Develop and document a detailed solution design within SDS, impart your subject matter expertise throughout life cycle.
• Participate in complex applications and systems development, programming.
• Propose solution options; generate stakeholder support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on project estimates.
• Produce top-notch functional, technical and user interface designs.
• Take business, Enterprise Architecture, system performance and development standards requirements, then develop functional, technical and user interface designs for an application and/or system.
• Consult on development of the System Requirements Specification (SRS).
• Review technical deliverables for quality throughout detailed design and development phase, identify gaps or redesign as needed.
• Define metrics and performance goals with technology partners and peers.
• Respect TD's technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines, business technology architecture, and risk and production capacity - this includes thorough project requirements, documentation, scope estimates and costs.
• Deliver effective and efficient solutions by meeting milestones and ensuring project deliverables are on time, within budget, and adhere to the corporate quality and security standards.
• Identify ways to minimize cost, play a role in introducing strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness and enhance stakeholder experience.
• Conduct code reviews to address quality, standards compliance, reusability and ease of maintenance, Operational Readiness Reviews, and support gating and review sign-offs for solution design.
• Support knowledge management processes and ensure knowledge is codified, monitored, tracked and managed.
• Ensure design leverages existing reusable components, traces back to business requirements, and that new modules are designed with reusability in mind.
• Identify and address any issue that affects the integrity of the application ( e.g. cross-capability/release issues).
• Provide technical support to promptly resolve escalated incidents/outages.

Job Requirements

Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing on SQL Server 2012 and above
• 3+ years of solid hands-on C# programming experience on the Microsoft stack, including ASP.NET MVC development.
• Demonstrated experience in solution design at scale and leading big-data architecture and development.
• Experience writing System Design Specifications (SDS).
• Experience leading other developers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to establish a good rapport with stakeholders at various levels.
• Excellent collaboration skills as well as the ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to follow up on issues independently and ensure they are resolved promptly, escalating when necessary.
• Self-starter, detailed-oriented and organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively within a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for simplifying and automating work, for making things better, for being efficient and helping others.
• Expert knowledge of the business, broader organization, technical environment, standards, processes, tools, procedures, multiple programming languages, operating systems, solutions design and other relevant technology areas from a design/support/solutions perspective.
• Readiness and motivation to work autonomously in a lead capacity on a diverse range of activities (e.g. design, support of technical business solutions) and can be relied on to coach, educate and monitor the work of others.
• Primary subject matter expertise in multiple areas; you're seasoned in counselling clients and project teams on all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware and software support, development of technical solutions and testing.
• Strength coaching and advising clients, partners and project teams, capable of being an internal expert resource in "technical information exchange".
• Commitment to and belief in the quality of your deliverables.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with SSRS, SSAS would be an asset
• Hands-on experience with client-side Web Frameworks like JavaScript, JQuery, JQueryUI, AJAX, JSON, Angular 4+ would be an asset.
• Liquidity/financial experience is a strong asset.
