Our BC/YT Hydrology team specializes in sustainable water resource management, using advanced science and engineering to protect and optimize water resources for resilient communities and ecosystems. They provide hydrotechnical services to a broad range of public and private sector clients delivering water related civil infrastructure design, water supply, fluvial geomorphology, and flood protection.

Expected Salary (British Columbia): $86,500 to $132,200
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. What you'll bring to WSP:
- A relevant undergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering, hydrology, geoscience, water resources or closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience of hydrotechnical engineering in a consulting environment with a focus on hydrotechnical engineering including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis or a related field.
- Holds a professional registration in the province/territory of work; if currently practicing outside of BC, eligibility to obtain professional registration within six months.
- Achieved a professional level of technical proficiency in hydrotechnical engineering and are committed to the continued development of those skills.
- Have a proven track record as a project manager in a client facing role
- Strong working knowledge of relevant environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
- Proven commitment to Health & Safety (H&S) standards and practices, with a track record of promoting an inclusive and diverse (I&D) work environment that prioritizes safety, respect, and well-being for all team members.
- Adaptability and flexibility to prioritize and manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change and the ability to build partnerships across disciplines and areas of expertise.
- Self-motivated leader with excellent inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
- A proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships.
- Commitment to technical excellence and ability to write proposals and technical reports.
