MANDATE

Provide specialized support and service to the management of Global Trade Operations by delivering service excellence to our customers across North America and the UK.

Experience in Trade Finance Operations with a strong background in processing Supply Chain Finance transactions, Accounting and related reconciliations, Documentary credits including proficiency in the use of automated systems is required.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

Ensure that all Supply Chain Finance transactions are handled in accordance with the program rules, Service Level Agreements with specific attention being paid to compliance, credit, documentary and settlement risks inherent in these transactions, specifically:
  • Process and complete Supply Chain Finance funding requests and repayments in accordance with bank's process standards ensuring the transactions remain within the authorized limits at all times.
  • Ensure service level agreements are consistently met and that customer service is maintained at a high level.
  • Effectively manage the risks associated with day to day transactions.
  • Closely review transactions ensuring full compliance with regulations and Bank requirements.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality is maintained for both customer and Bank information to protect the customer and the Bank and to ensure compliance with Bank Policy and Procedures.
  • Follow security and safeguarding procedures and apply appropriate due diligence in accordance with Bank policy for the prevention of loss due to such things as fraud or defalcation.
  • Acquire and maintain a high level of competence and awareness in trade related matters.
  • Assist in building relationships with internal business partners, as appropriate, through daily interaction. Partner with other operational areas to ensure delivery of timely, quality and efficient processing activities.
  • Demonstrate efficient and effective use of the processing systems.
  • Participate and contribute in initiatives such as process or system enhancements or new product implementation.
  • Participate in UAT or other related system testing requirements from time to time

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

1-2 to 3 years of related experience.

2-University degree or related qualifications required

3-Thorough knowledge of Supply Chain Finance transactions including the knowledge and understanding of various types of program structures is required.

4-Proven accuracy with alphanumeric data entry supplemented with strong organizational skills.

5- Sound technical competency in all aspects of accounting, Reconciliation and auditing procedures.

6-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

7-Strong customer service and relationship management skills

8-Strong written and oral communication skills

9-Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

WORKING CONDITIONS

May be required to work on statutory holidays and within differing time zones as dictated by the business.

Salary :

$37,500.00 - $69,500.00

Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
