We're looking for two motivated, customer service-oriented individual to join our Collections department as a Collection Coordinator.
In this role, you're responsible for managing and collecting an inventory of delinquent accounts. Your responsibilities will include contacting and communicating with employers, their representatives, and other sources to coordinate payment of outstanding premiums.
How you'll make a difference: You'll help ensure B.C.'s workers' compensation system is properly funded so we can serve workers and employers now and in the future.

In this role, you'll work two days a week in our Richmond office.

- Communicate with employers or their representatives to collect outstanding liabilities and discuss repayment options, respond to inquiries on a variety of collection matters, explain and enforce relevant policies, procedures, and provide details of amounts owing
- Effectively communicate with employers and other parties over the phone and in writing
- Receive payments from employers and code payments for processing
- Use appropriate research techniques and resources to locate individuals whose whereabouts are unknown (e.g., skip tracing)
- Deal with a high volume workload of outstanding accounts in an organized and efficient manner
- Work independently
- Communicate in a persuasive, assertive, empathetic, respectful manner by actively listening and questioning for pertinent information
- Clearly and accurately document information
- Locate, review, and utilize information on file in order to determine an appropriate course of action
- Provide excellent customer service in a timely and professional manner while responding to clients' needs resulting in prompt account payment
- A minimum of grade 12 education; some post-secondary education is preferred
- A minimum of one year of experience in collections and experience using an accounts receivable system
- Knowledge of collection procedures and practices
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word
- Ability to perform business math calculations
